Roberts progressed through St Helens Scholarship programme and the Under 18s before then joining the Academy, where he was part of the Championship winning team in 2023.

He moved into the first team squad in 2024, and spent time on loan at Swinton, Rochdale and Widnes Vikings before being released from Saints at the end of last season.
