Horwell joins from Tigers on loan

Newcastle Thunder are delighted to announce the signing of utility, Alfie Horwell from Castleford Tigers on a season-long loan.

The talented youngster joins Thunder for the remainder of the campaign as he continues his development, adding further quality and competition to the squad. Everyone at Newcastle Thunder is excited to welcome Alfie to the club and looks forward to seeing him in action in Thunder colours throughout the remainder of the season.

Horwell spent time at Thunder during the 2025 season making 4 appearances and scoring a try in Round 20's League One fixture against Whitehaven.
