Bailey Antrobus signs for Thunder

Newcastle Thunder is delighted to announce that Bailey Antrobus has signed a deal with the club for the 2026 Betfred Championship season. 

Known for his high work rate and powerful carries, Bailey, 25, began his senior career after coming through the junior ranks in Australia. The Wales-capped forward moved to the UK to join York Knights in 2022 following a stint in the New South Wales Cup with NRL club St George Illawarra Dragons.

Head Coach Graham Steadman said, "His versatility across the forward pack and his commitment in defence made him one of the most reliable assets in a team. With a full pre-season ahead and a refreshed squad around him, I expect he will be central to the team's plans as we look to climb the ladder in the newly reformed Betfred Championship in 2026."
