Kicking off at 2pm on Sunday, July 7, here is everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.


You can purchase tickets from £15 for adults and £5 for under-16s.

Turnstiles will be open from 12:30pm taking both cash and card payments


Entry to the stadium can be made through the North turnstiles in the Tyne & Wear stand.

Stadium parking for this fixture is FREE for all supporters. It will be available on a first come-first served basis.

Stadium parking is FREE for the entire 2024 season.

For those coming from the north there are ongoing road works on the Tyne bridge that are causing delays. The bridge will be closed for Great North 10k event, which takes place on the morning of Sunday 7 July.

For public transport there are a number of options
By bus

93 - between Gateshead Interchange and the Stadium

94 - between Heworth Interchange and the Stadium

These services operate every 15 minutes. Gateshead Interchange provides transport links via bus and Metro to all local destinations as well as Newcastle Airport, Newcastle Central Station and Sunderland Train Station.

By Metro

Gateshead Stadium Metro station is approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the Stadium. A footpath leads from the Metro station, through St. James Village housing estate to the Stadium.

By rail

The nearest train station is Newcastle Central Station (East Coast Line). Travel from Newcastle Central Station to Gateshead Stadium Metro station using the Metro.

There is no match-day hospitality for our Betfred League One fixture against Workington Town.


You have 2 options in the main stand for food and drink, the kiosk in the concourse serves soft & alcoholic drinks as well as a range of hot and cold food, the main bar in addition to drinks also serves bar snacks.

Be sure to pay a visit to one of our bars ahead of kick-off.


Our main bar will remain open to the public following the final whistle, with supporters invited to enjoy a post-match drink with the players and officials from both teams.
