Newcastle Thunder are delighted to confirm that memberships that were unveiled pre-Christmas are now available to purchase via the club website – www.thunderrugby.co.uk. All memberships are located on the club websites main page. 

 

There are four levels of membership available to supporters, each offering different benefits but each and every one of them contributing to the club and it’s ability to keep professional rugby league in the north east.

 

Platinum Membership will be limited to 100 individuals or businesses. It offers the widest range of benefits and will have consultation meetings quarterly with the Thunder management team. It also includes a season ticket, Hospitality at selected home games, access to away directors tickets, replica shirt, exclusive events, Challenge Cup Final tickets and a host of further benefits. It costs £500 or £50 per month for ten months, from January to October 2024. 

 

Silver Membership includes a season ticket that gives entry to 10 home league matches, 2 home 1895 cup games, discount on merchandise, access to member events, monthly newsletter and a Challenge Cup Final ticket. Silver Membership is £250 or £25 per month for ten months, commencing January 2024.

 

Season Ticket Membership will go on sale at the end of the month and gives entry to 10 home league matches, discount on merchandise, access to member events and a monthly newsletter. It will cost £150 per year for adults or £50 for Under 16s.

 

Club membership is for fans who can’t make it regularly to home matches but want to support the club in their efforts to re-establish the sport at professional level in the north east. It is a one-off donation of £50 per year and includes two tickets to a home game of your choice, monthly newsletter and discount on merchandise.

 

Club Chairman Keith Christie urged supporters to complete their membership applications for the 2024 season. He said: “The Thunder Membership Programme is the cornerstone of our financial plans and is instrumental in resurrecting the club.

 

“We are asking that all the pledges that were made back in late 2023 are now turned into supporters joining the Thunder on our exciting journey this year. Please visit the website, it’s straightforward to sign up and every single membership helps us for the forthcoming season. Supporters who haven’t already indicated they can support the club are still able to become a member and with prices starting at £50 we think we have something for everyone.

 

“With the slight delay in setting up the Membership IT system we will be commencing the monthly payment options from now and running these for 10 months rather than the 12 we originally indicated. Of course if any fans are able to pay up front this would really help the club as we face a number of upfront costs before we kick off a week on Saturday in the 1895 Cup.”

Supporters are reminded that the next Fans Event will be Monday 15 January at Kingston Park (1877 Bar, East Stand) commencing at 19:00. Fans attending will get the first look at the new Thunder home and away kits for 2024.
