Newcastle Thunder confirm squad for Featherstone visit

Newcastle Thunder head coach Chris Thorman has named his 21-man squad for Friday’s clash against Featherstone Rovers.

The squad sees a number of changes from the side that fought valiantly against Toulouse Olympique XIII last time out.

Both Robert Tuliatu and Jack Miller drop out through injury and academy graduates Nathan Rushworth and James McGurk have been called up in replacement.

Jack Johnson is once again named following his clinical finishing that saw his score twice last week and Alex Clegg is also included despite picking up a nasty head knock against Toulouse.

Mac Walsh retains his place following a strong performance last time out and the loanee duo of Connor Moore and Denive Balmforth are included once more.

Curtis Davies is also in-line to make his 29th appearance this campaign.
