WHAT’S ON: Newcastle Thunder v Bradford Bulls

Newcastle Thunder host Bradford Bulls for Magic Friday as the Betfred Championship returns to Kingston Park.

Kicking off at 7:45pm on Friday, June 2, here is everything you need to know ahead of the fixture. 

TICKETS 

Newcastle Thunder will be running match-day operations from Kingston Park’s West Stand for Magic Friday. 

It is unreserved seating so supporters can sit where they please with tickets still available to purchase for the Betfred Championship fixture. 

You can purchase tickets from £15 for adults and £5 for under-16s. Concessionary/Young Adult & Student pricing is also available for £13.

The East Stand club shop and ticket office will be open on match-day from 12-5pm before operations move to the West Stand ahead of kick-off.  

MATCH-DAY TRAVEL 

Stadium parking for this fixture is FREE for all supporters. It will be available on a first come-first served basis. 

Stadium parking is FREE for the entire 2023 season. 

Stagecoach will be running their usual X47 bus service, which picks up and drops off directly outside Kingston Park Stadium. Single tickets are available from £2 for adults and 60p for under-16s. Day passes are available at £4.50 for adults and £1.10 for under-16s. Click HERE for more information or head to the Stagecoach website. 

The stadium is also served by Kingston Park and Bank Foot Metro stations, both of which are a five-minute walk away. Both stations are on the Airport branch of the Tyne and Wear Metro with trains running every 15 minutes. Find out more HERE

RETAIL 

The club shop and ticket office based in the East Stand will be open from 12-5pm on match-day before operations move to the West Stand ahead of kick-off. 

A retail unit will be set up in the West Stand and be sure to visit for any special match-day offerings.   

HOSPITALITY 

Taking place in the West Stand’s Premier club, hospitality for our Magic Friday will open from 6pm to supporters, which also includes those attending the Hall of Fame ceremony. 

To enter please head to the West Stand reception where you will be greeted by our fantastic hospitality team and directed to your table and seat. 

The Hall of Fame ceremony will see former Thunder players Neil Thorman, Stephen Rutherford and Chris Park inducted into the club's Hall of Fame, receiving their heritage numbers ahead of kick-off. 

FOOD & DRINK 

The West Stand concourse will provide both food and drink options for supporters with a bar and kiosks open. 

We will also have a food van, with a fantastic Greek street food offering, situated within the stadium bowl.

PRE-MATCH 

Turnstiles will open for supporters at 5:30pm. Entry to the stadium bowl can be made through the South West turnstiles. 

A rugby league double-header is heading to Kingston Park this Friday with the Army Rugby League Master's taking on a North East Select prior to the main event. The fixture kicks-off at 6pm and is included in your match ticket. 

Thunder Community will be hosting a Junior Thunder Fan Zone in the South Stand concourse which will start at 6:15pm. All junior supporters attending the fixture are invited to come along and join in on the fun with plenty of activities scheduled. To join in on the action, all you must do is ensure you are signed up to our Junior Thunder memberships. You can either do this online HERE or there will be an option on the day to sign up upon entry. 

New to this season, the Stakeford Tyre Challenge returns and will take place on the pitch prior to kick-off. If you fancy the chance to win some great prizes, make sure you enter via our social media. 

KICK-OFF 

The club’s new mascot Thunderbolt will take to the field to introduce your Newcastle Thunder side back to Kingston Park moments before kick-off. 

Newcastle Thunder takes on Bradford Bulls in the Betfred Championship with kick-off at 7:45pm. 

HALF-TIME 

The Thunderbolt challenge will be taking place at half-time. A lucky individual picked from the crowd will go head-to-head with a Thunder player in a virtual race across the pitch. 

POST-MATCH ACTIVITIES 

The West Stand concourse will remain open to the public, following the final whistle. 

Elvis Presley is in the building, bringing the post-match party to Kingston Park. Mike Memphis will be performing a tribute act to the King of rock and roll on the West Stand concourse and will be joined by his Memphis Belles showgirls and dancers.
