Newcastle Thunder name 21-man squad for Featherstone trip

Head coach Chris Thorman has today confirmed his squad to travel to league leaders Featherstone Rovers this weekend.

Taking place on Sunday, February 26, the fourth round fixture kicks off at 3pm with Thunder looking to make amends for defeat last time out at Keighley Cougars.

A tough game expected, Thunder currently sit 12^th in the league having won once in three games, with Featherstone currently leading the rankings having won all of their fixtures so far.

The Thunder squad sees four changes from the previous fixture. Brad Gallagher drops out following a head injury picked up against Keighley Cougars.

New signing Jack Miller is thrown straight into the mix having joined up with the squad earlier in the week.

Thunder have also called upon Hull FC pairing in Nick Staveley and Matthew Laidlaw as part of the club’s dual registration agreement with the Super League outfit.

Max Flanagan and Mac Walsh do not feature in Sunday’s fixture and Gideon Boafo, Nathan Clemmitt, Jake Lightowler and Hull KR loanee Daniel Okoro miss out through injury.
