THUNDER ARMY ASK TO RALLY BEHIND LULU BLUNDELL

A Newcastle Rugby employee with a terminal cancer diagnosis continues to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust

Newcastle Rugby recently received the incredibly sad news that 20-year-old Lulu Blundell, who works in our ticket office and club shop, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Despite the news, Lulu’s attitude and approach to life has been inspirational. She has been raising funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust who have been with her through every step of her courageous battle. They have and continue to do amazing work to help people going through some of the toughest times of their lives.

Rugby has always been a big part of Lulu’s life and before her original diagnosis she played for both Sheffield RUFC and Wakefield Trinity. Her passion and love for the sport is one of the reasons she began to work for the Falcons. Lulu has shown a huge commitment to rugby and now it’s time we return the favour and show her our support.

Lulu is an amazing person and a true credit to the Newcastle Rugby Family.

We will be dedicating Newcastle Falcons next home game against Bristol Bears on Friday, September 30 to Lulu, with a number of fundraising options available on the day. You can donate to her JustGiving page HERE to help raise funds for the charity so close to her heart.

If you are attending the game there will also be QR codes located around the stadium with links to Lulu’s JustGiving page as well as a number of cash collection points.

We will also be hosting an online auction for Lulu with a number of fantastic items to bid on, including:

• Signed player shirt from the home game against Bristol Bears.
• Table for four in hospitality at game of choice.*
• Player meet and greet experience at our next home game.
• Pint at the bar with a player of your choice.
• Access to top of bus bar at game of choice.*
