MATCH DAY GUIDE - THUNDER V BRONCOS

All you need to know to make the most of Sunday Afternoon Rugby at Kingston Park

Betfred Championship rugby league action returns to Kingston Park Stadium this Sunday afternoon when Newcastle Thunder takes on London Broncos.

Thunder are aiming to back up a fine win on the road over the capital club back in May and make it four games unbeaten at home this weekend, whilst the Broncos will be keen to continue their recent renaissance and take a fifth win in eight games.

It promises to be an entertaining afternoon of live sport and with fans accommodated in the East Stand for this weekend’s game, this is our handy guide to making sure you make the most of your day.

ORDER OF EVENTS

12.00 - Supporter facilities open

14:30 – Pre-match warm-ups

14:59 – Team entry

15:00 – Kick off (Thunder v London Broncos)

15:40* – Half Time / Thunder Bolt Challenge

15:55* – Kick off, second half 

16:35* – Full Time

17:10 – Man of the Match presentation (Tap & Tackle / 1877)

Team – Thunder have named a 21-man squad ahead of Sunday’s game showing four changes from the roster announced ahead of the Summer Bash clash with York. Find out who is in and out here

Match tickets – Tickets for Sunday’s game are available to book now either in person at the Kingston Park Stadium box office, online by clicking here or by calling 0191 214 5588 (opt 1)

All tickets are priced at £15 for adults, £10 for concessions, £8 for young adults and £3 for juniors for this fixture up until turnstiles open on Sunday.

Match-day ticket purchases – Tickets will be available to purchase on arrival at the stadium on Sunday from 12:00 from the stadium box office located in the East Stand.

Full match day pricing will be in effect with adults priced at £20, concessions £15, YAS (16-24-year-olds) £10 and Under 16s £5

PLEASE NOTE Card payments only for ticket purchases made at the ground.

Stadium access – Entry to the stadium will be via the main doors of the East Stand. The Tap and Tackle will open to spectators from 12:00 with seats and terrace positions available to access from 13:30.

Getting Here - Stadium car parking for Sunday’s match will be available on the day free of charge.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:  Roadworks are in place on Brunton Road and are affecting access to the stadium. Supporters arriving by car should approach from the Brunton Lane end and enter via the East Stand gate.

A road closed sign is in place at the junction with Windsor Way, this should be disregarded to access the stadium.

Kingston Park Stadium is well served by local public transport services, with Stagecoach’s X47 service from Newcastle city centre stopping opposite the ground on Windsor Way and Tyne & Wear Metro services on the airport line calling at Kingston Park and Bank Foot (approx. 7mins walk away).

Spectator Accomodation: For Sunday’s visit of London, supporters will watch from the East Stand side of the ground. Seats and standing are available on a first come first served basis.

Tap & Tackle – The Tap & Tackle will be the service point for all refreshments during Sunday’s game..

Open from Noon until late on Sundays, the Tap & Tackle will also be the venue for this week’s Man of the Match presentation following the game.

Our bars will be using re-usable stack cups on the day.
