POST MATCH REACTION - OLDHAM RLFC V NEWCASTLE THUNDER

Academy starlets Alex Donaghy and Isaac Nokes made telling contributions in Newcastle Thunder’s Betfred Championship win over Oldham RLFC on Sunday, with the pair scoring three of their side’s seven tries between them.

Nokes ensured Thunder’s decision to keep the ball alive on a fifth and last yielded a four-point score, while Donaghy’s straightening of a run and support of Josh Woods gave him two on the day Newcastle secured a first-ever win away at Oldham.
