NEWCASTLE THUNDER ANNOUNCE NEW ACCOMODATION PARTNER

Newcastle Thunder have welcomed aboard one of the north east’s leading student accommodation providers as a new club partner, with Genesis Student Accommodation assisting the club’s move to a new training pattern.

Making available to the club a number of high-quality flats at their Stepney Lane properties, Genesis are playing a key role in allowing Thunder to train better and more often.

Genesis` support sees travelling players from outside the north east now provided with somewhere to stay, offering the chance to significantly reduce the amount of travelling undertaken each week.

The partnership has allowed Thunder to increase the amount of training conducted during a week and allowed the players to start enjoying the experience of living in Newcastle.

The preferred accommodation supplier of Northumbria University’s Student Union, Genesis are proud to provide excellent quality accommodation and service to their tenants.

Conveniently located in the heart of the city, just a few minutes from the Quayside and the Ouseburn district, bookings are now open for students looking for accommodation in 2021/22.

As one of the Newcastle Thunder players making use of the accommodation, back row Connor Bailey  has been impressed with what has been made available.

Bailey said: “The accommodation from Genesis is great. It is five minutes from the centre of Newcastle which is class and has allowed me to explore the place and spend more time in the city.

“Having somewhere to stay has made it a lot easier for me when it comes to training too, cutting out a lot of travelling time and letting me prepare better for the sessions.”
