Newcastle Thunder’s Jack Johnson delivered a man-of-the-match performance against Sheffield Eagles on Sunday evening, as his side took a first win of the season in the Betfred Championship 24-16 at Kingston Park Stadium.

Scoring his third try in as many games in the eighth minute of the match, the former Warrington and Widnes man put himself around the park with impressive kick returns and assuredness at the back in defence.
