WORLD CUP BREAKFAST KICKS OFF MAGIC FRIDAY

Dual-code legend Jason Robinson star guest at Kingston Park business event

Dual-code rugby icon Jason Robinson OBE will be at Kington Park Stadium on July 8, as Rugby League World Cup 2021 hosts a business breakfast from 09:00.

Taking place on the morning of Newcastle Thunder’s Magic Friday fixture against Bradford Bulls, the 90-minute session will provide an update on the tournament from CEO Jon Dutton before Robinson provides insights from his career in both rugby league and rugby union.

The speakers will be joined by the three world cup trophies which will be contested this Autumn, with attendees able to take pictures alongside the impressive pieces of silverware.

Free to attend, the business breakfast will also provide an opportunity for quality networking between guests as well as a great breakfast to start the day.

RLWC2021 kicks off in Newcastle on October 15 when England take on Samoa in the opening game of the tournament at St James’ Park before Kingston Park hosts the first of three matches 24 hours later.

Scotland face Italy in that opening game before the Azzurri then play Fiji on October 22. The home of Newcastle Thunder then sees Fiji and Scotland go head-to-head in its final game on the evening of October 29.
