THUNDER V WIGAN - MATCH DAY GUIDE

A handy guide to what's on at Kingston Park Stadium this Sunday afternoon

Newcastle Thunder welcome Super League giants Wigan Warriors to Kingston Park Stadium on Sunday, in the club’s final pre-season fixture before the start of the new Betfred Championship season.

With a new look squad assembled it is a fixture that will give the Thunder Army their first glimpse of their 2022 side playing against quality opposition from one of the best clubs in the game.

With a return to the east side of the stadium for this season, this is our easy guide for what to expect if you’re joining us for a day of thrilling live sport.

ORDER OF EVENTS

13:30 – Turnstiles / Supporter facilities open

14:00 – Hospitality Guests food served

14:15 – Pre match talk in begins (1877 hospitality guests only)

15:00 – Kick Off, first half 

15:40* – Half Time

15:50* – Kick off, second half 

16:30* – Full Time

Match tickets – Tickets for Sunday’s game are available to purchase up until kick off via the club’s box office and online ticket portal.

Tickets are priced at £10 adults, £10 concessions and £5 Under 16s. Supporters are encouraged to book their tickets via the online box office, which will see tickets delivered digitally via email, which can be scanned to gain entry.

PLEASE NOTE: Card payments only for ticket purchases made at the ground 

Stadium access – Entry to the stadium will be via the entrances located on the east side of the south stand. The ground will open to spectators for the game against Wigan from 13:30.

Getting Here - Stadium car parking for Sunday’s match will be available on the day priced at £5 per vehicle and on a first come first served basis. Season ticket holders who qualify for entry to the friendly will receive their complimentary car park pass by email prior to Sunday’s game.

Kingston Park Stadium is well served by local public transport services, with Stagecoach’s X47 service from Newcastle city centre stopping opposite the ground on Windsor Way and Tyne & Wear Metro services on the airport line calling at Kingston Park and Bank Foot (approx 7mins walk away).

Food & Drink - Supporters can enjoy a wide range of food and drink options at the ground on Sunday, with the Tap & Tackle bar in the East Stand open to spectators.

Serving soft and alcoholic drinks throughout the day, food options will also be provide by club partner Angel Street Food, including all your sport stadium favourites, all tastes will be catered towards on the day.

Our bars will be using re-usable stack cups on the day.

Merchandise – The Newcastle Thunder club shop will be open before and after Sunday’s game where supporters will be able to purchase items from our 2022 leisure range by Macron,

From hoodies and team hats to training T shirts and jackets, be sure to call in and add items from our new season look to your Thunder collection.

The club shop will be opening from 11am - 5.30pm, but will be closed during the match.
