NEWCASTLE THUNDER SQUAD NAMED FOR TOULOUSE OLYMPIQUE

Newcastle Thunder have been forced to ring the changes ahead of the final game of the 2021 season on Saturday, as the club name a heavily changed 19-man squad for the visit of Toulouse Olympique.

Six of the roster named for last week’s win over Oldham RLFC are unavailable through a combination of injuries and U19s academy commitments, forcing the overhaul ahead of the clash with the French behemoths.

Unavailable for selection this week are Jake Anderson, Alex Clegg, Alex Donaghy, Kieran Gill, Jay Chapelhow and Jack Johnson.

On loan centre Nathan Roebuck is one of four players coming into the squad, with captain Bob Beswick, Cian Tyrer and Matty Wright also returning
